Our comfortable lighthouse is located in the Flatanger archipelago close to the charming coastal village of Lauvsnes. Our RIB boat will transfer you from Lauvsnes to the lighthouse through a maze of rocky islands and narrow channels. Your guide will introduce you to Norway’s rich coastal culture and there’s ample time to fish, photograph and sightsee on the way.
The lighthouse is strategically perched between the challenging and often stormy waters of the north Atlantic and the calm, sheltered waters of the archipelago. These are world-class sea kayaking waters with paddling options for all ages and abilities. Test yourself against the power of the Atlantic swell or explore rocky coves, sheltered bays and sandy beaches.
The rocky crags and cliffs of the archipelago offer a fantastic range of walking, climbing and repelling options. Sea eagle and Arctic skua patrol the skies above waters rich in halibut, cod, mackerel and pollack. Try sea angling and catch fresh fish for dinner, or snorkel sandy bays and free dive for plump scallops in the sandy shallows. This is slow adventure at its best.
Relax with a book below the lighthouse’s ‘mirror room’ and enjoy spectacular panoramic views of wild nature and untamed ocean. The lighthouse has comfortable, modern accommodations, kitchen and communal areas. Bathrooms and toilet facilities are communal.
When you book this experience we will help you customize the adventure to suit the interests, ability and fitness level of your party. Your safety is paramount and our expert guide will provide training and instruction in all chosen activities.
